We invite you to register for the 17th Congress of the Latin American Thyroid Society to receive access for the submission of your abstract!

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION INFORMATION

  • 1 DEADLINE: The deadline for electronic submissions is Monday, March 18th, 2019 at 11:59 pm (UTC/GMT -3). Abstracts cannot be submitted by fax, hard copy or e-mail.
  • 2 REGISTRATION: One author must have payed his/her registration to the Congress before abstract submission. Accepted abstracts will be published at the Archives of Endocrinology and Metabolism.
  • 3 ABSTRACT LIMIT: There are no restrictions on the number of submissions you may submit or on the number of submissions you may present.
  • 4 LANGUAGE: Abstracts can be written in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
  • 5 CHARACTER LIMIT: There is a limit of 250 words approx. for the text of your submission.
  • 6 Follow the instructions on the screen to access the abstract submission form. Fill in all fields of the online form.
  • 7 DISCLOSURES: The presenter will be asked to complete Disclosure of Relevant Financial Relationships to finalize your submission.
  • 8 PRESENTATION TYPE AND CATEGORY: You will be asked to select the preferred presentation type (clinical, basic, translational, or case report) for your submission and the preferred subpresentation type (oral, short oral or poster). In addition, select the appropriate category. The final decision about the type of presentation will be made by the Evaluation Committee.
  • 9 AUTHORS: Please enter all authors in the order they should appear in the heading of the abstract. It is the author’s responsibility to submit the correct complete names of the other authors that will be reproduced in the certificate as typed by the author (in the case of acceptance). Only the presenting author can be the submitter of an abstract. Acknowledgement of receipt of the submission will be sent to the stated e-mail address. The presenting author will receive all correspondence concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing co-authors of the status of the abstract.
  • 10 ABSTRACT PROOF: Carefully check your abstract. Make sure all special characters and formatting are displaying properly in your proof. If you find errors, return to the appropriate page to make your corrections. It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract; if accepted any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.
  • 11 COMPLETING YOUR SUBMISSION: Abstracts fulfilling all criteria can be saved in “Final submission” status. Only abstracts in “Final submission” status will be regarded as successfully submitted and considered for the meeting. The submitted / draft abstracts cannot be edited after the submission deadline Monday, March 18th, 2019 at 11:59 pm (UTC/GMT -3).
  • 12 NOTIFICATIONS: Notifications will be emailed by April 20th. If you do not receive your notification by then, please contact . The Evaluation Committee decision will be irrevocable and there will not be evaluation revisions.
  • 13 CERTIFICATE: Only one certificate per abstract will be issued and will include the authors in the order of the submission.

LATS Young Investigator Award 2019

LATS Young Investigator Award will be awarded to two young members of the Society who present adequate work during the Congress. The categories under which the prizes will be given are: (1) clinical research and (2) basic research.

Rules and requirements to apply at the submission:

  • Be a member of the Society (under 40 years of age by the date of the event).
  • Be the first author of the abstract.
  • The work must be presented during the LATS 2019 Congress.
  • The work presented must have been completely done in a Latin American country.
