The XVII Latin American Thyroid Society Congress will take place at the Panamericano Hotel, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on June 20-23, 2019. The Scientific Committee, chaired by Dra.Ana Luiza Maia, with the support of Dra. Gabriela Brenta, President of LATS, has planned a wonderful programm.. At the meeting, the latest developments in the various areas of clinical, basic and translational thyroidology will be presented by internationally notable researchers.
Buenos Aires, capital of the Argentina, is one of the most important cities in Latin America. It´s University gave the world three Nobel Prize winners in science that contributed to the advancement of endocrinology.
In this cosmopolitan city, influenced by the immigration currents that formed it, you will find numerous museums, art galleries, cinemas and theatres with top-level national and international shows.
Tango is one of the city´s most famous attractions, there are many milongas and tanguerías where you can enjoy a traditional show or be encouraged to take some lessons and learn the steps of one of the most sensual dances in the world.
The excellent scientific program that LATS will offer will be developed in a hotel ideally located in the center of the city, in front of the Obelisco, the Teatro Colón and 9 de Julio Avenue. It is just one block away from the famous Corrientes Avenue and only 10 minutes on foot from the elegant Recoleta neighborhood and from the historical sector of the city formed by the neighborhoods of San Telmo and Monserrat. The history of Buenos Aires can be told from the viewpoint of the Hotel Panamericano.
